About DJ Miss Frenchie:

Miss Frenchie originally comes from Bordeaux (France). She came to England in 1996 and fell in love with the whole music scene. After hearing a mix tape Norman Cook made for NME, she got herself a pair of decks and became seriously addicted to buying records!

Miss Frenchie's style:

Very eclectic: Funky/Deep House, Breaks, Old School Hip Hop, Electroclash, Bootlegs, Jump up D'n'B and anything with a good vibe to dance to. Her versatility allows her to play sets of one style only or a mix-match of all the genres she likes.

She also enjoys a reputation as one of the few female bootleggers around.

DJ Highlights:

Played alongside Grandmaster Flash, Fatboy Slim, Richard Fearless and Justin Robertson.

Appeared in Transmusicales de Rennes (French Festival), Concorde 2 (Brighton) and Bastard (London).

She has received huge Radio support from the likes of Eddy Temple Morris (XFM), being the first woman to do a Superchunk on his show, The Remix.

Winner of the Space Cowboy remix competition in 2004.

Article in PIG (People In Groove) international magazine from Milan in 2004.
